Hell's Mouth

KNEEHIGH THEATRE + THE NATIONAL YOUTH THEATRE @ SOHO THEATRE, LONDON

August 2005

Writer: Nick Darke

Director: Mike Shepherd

Lighting Designer: Malcolm Rippeth

A design inspired by Nick Darke's words, "Kernow, land of silent rock". The world of the play is all rocky surface, uncomfortable and sullen. The space is lifted through the use of a circular cover to the cave that is Hells Mouth. This cave becomes the moon with different faces, a yellow harvest moon and a voilent red for the tragic end thanks to a light box inside it.
