Holes

NUFFIELD THEATRE, SOUTHAMPTON

March 2006

Writer: Louis Sachar

Director: Russ Tunney

Lighting designer: Mark Dymock

A strange world of a play - jumping around in time with complex family histories. A circular projection screen became a moon, a sun, a peach and told us where in the world we had just jumped to. Holes in the set enabled actors access to anywhere in the space, popping up through them. A secret door in the mountain allowed for the more surreal moments of the action.
